Fitted wardrobe with Jute panels

A fitted wardrobe designed to maximise storage in a compact bedroom while maintaining a calm, material-led atmosphere. The client wanted a composition that felt like an extension of the wall rather than furniture placed against it.

Made from locally sourced London Plane with inset Jute fabric panels, the piece combines natural materials for both visual warmth and acoustic softness. The steam-bent and laminated door frames sit flush with the wall, their gentle curvature softening the room’s geometry. The contrast between the timber and fabric will deepen over time, creating a subtle dialogue between surface and tone.

The project also introduced an adaptable idea — producing bespoke doors that can retrofit existing wardrobes, allowing clients to refresh spaces with craft-led detail without full rebuilds
