Room divider shelving unit

A shelving divider that defines two connected spaces without closing them off. The brief called for a way to separate the living and kitchen areas while maintaining the flow of light and sightlines. The challenge was to stay within a modest budget and fix only to the ceiling.

The piece turns a single room into two distinct zones while remaining open and adaptable, marked only by a small playful piercing detail that brings a subtle sense of character.

The solution is a modular structure in Walnut and Oak where the brackets form part of the uprights, allowing shelves to slide in or out as needed. All fixings are concealed, keeping the focus on proportion and rhythm.
